Rajouri Encounter: Army Personnel, Two Unidentified Militants Killed

Srinagar: In a continuing military operation in the Narla area of Pir Panchal region's Rajouri District in Jammu and Kashmir, army personnel and two unidentified militants have been killed.

According to official sources, fresh firing erupted between the militants and forces in Narla on Wednesday, resulting in the killing of one more terrorist.

This brings the total count of militants killed in the encounter to two.

The encounter initially broke out on Tuesday, during which one militant was killed, and an army personnel succumbed to his injuries.

However, the operation was temporarily suspended for the night, officials said.

"As fresh firing resumed today morning, one more terrorist was killed, while the operation is still ongoing," stated officials.

Moreover, they said, a female canine Kent, from the 21 Army Dog Unit, who was leading a group of troops was also killed in the operation yesterday.
