'Ana Dammi Falastini' ("My Blood is Palestinian"), the patriotic Palestinian song is back on Spotify and Apple Music after briefly disappearing from the music streaming services over the weekend.

"Spotify aims to offer a wide range of music on our platform, but availability may vary over time and by country," it said in a statement.

"The removal of some of Mohammed Assaf’s content was not determined by Spotify, but rather by the distributor. We anticipate its return in the near future and apologise for any inconvenience caused,” it said.

Earlier, top streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer removed the popular Palestinian resistance anthem.

The move was critisized across world.

Sung by Palestinian singer and Arab Idol winner Mohammed Assaf, who hails from the besieged Gaza Strip told media that he was shocked to see his song being removed and stated that he received an email that citied “anti-Semitism.”

Later, Assaf took to Instagram and said: “That’s fine. It’s preserved in the hearts of all of those who are free and noble.”
