Srinagar, 3 January, 2025: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday stated that the J&K has yet to achieve normalcy, citing ongoing reports of attacks from various parts of the region.

“We still receive reports of attacks from different places. Even today, Jammu and Kashmir is yet to see complete normalcy. Nevertheless, it is a process, and let us see what happens in the future,” Abdullah told reporters in response to remarks by Home Minister Amit Shah.

Shah had earlier said that the abrogation of Article 370 ended separatism and fully integrated Jammu and Kashmir with India.

Addressing speculation about plans to rename the Kashmir Valley, Abdullah dismissed the reports as unfounded. “There is no such thing. I believe it was either a channel or a newspaper that published this, but they later clarified it themselves. Such a move cannot happen without the permission of the Jammu and Kashmir government,” the chief minister said.
