Reasi/Rajouri: Jammu and Rajouri districts have been put on high alert following the Reasi attack, with intensified checking and frisking, and more than 20 people detained for questioning, according to officials.
According to an official, at least 11 teams are working on the ground, and a multi-directional cordon has been laid around the Poni-Treyath belt.
On Sunday, militants opened fire at a 53-seater bus carrying pilgrims while it was en route from the Shiv Khori temple to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra near Teryath village in the Poni area, killing nine people.
The bus, which was ferrying pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Delhi, plunged into a deep gorge following the gunfire.
