Kunzer, 23 Nov. 24 – A militant hideout was uncovered in the Kunzer area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, with arms and ammunition recovered during the operation, officials said on Saturday.
In a statement, police said that acting on leads generated during the investigation of FIR No. 150/2024 of Police Station Magam, a joint operation involving Baramulla Police, Budgam Police, and 62 Rashtriya Rifles was conducted in the forests near Malwa village under Kunzer's jurisdiction.
The operation led to the discovery of a hideout, where arms, ammunition, and other incriminating materials were seized, reads the statement.
The hideout was subsequently destroyed on-site in accordance with legal protocols, it added.
