Shopian/Pahalgam: Minutes after suspected militants injuried two tourists in Pahalgam’s Yanner area, a former BJP sarpanch was shot dead in Herpora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian on Saturday late evening.
An official identified the victim as Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh, shot from a very close range.
Police and security forces have cordoned off the area to nab the attackers.
