Israeli bombing has killed 40 Palestinian civilians in Rafah’s Tal as-Sultan and 160 others in parts of Jabalia, Nuseirat in Gaza, taking the killing toll to 35,984 People killed in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7.
This attack followed Hamas’s rocket attack on the Israeli occupied city of ‘Tel Aviv’ over the mass killing of civilians in the strip.
According to Wafa News Agency, tent camps, sheltering displaced people which was designed as a safe zone, has been bombed by Israeli War planes with a majority of the victims being women and children.
The Wafa news agency, quoting the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), said that many of those who were killed “burned alive” inside their tents in the Tal as-Sultan area.
The Israeli military confirmed the attack on Rafah, saying it targeted Hamas fighters using “precision weaponry”.
Balakrishnan Rajagopal, the UN special rapporteur on the right to housing, has called for action against Israel in the wake of its latest attack on displaced Palestinians in Rafah.
“Attacking women and children while they cower in their shelters in Rafah is a monstrous atrocity. We need concerted global action to stop Israel’s actions now,” he said in a post on X.
