Srinagar: Indian military on Monday said that two infiltrators (militants from Pakistan-controlled Kashmir) were killed while foiling an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Pir Panchal region’s Poonch area.
In a statement, Defence spokesperson Jammu division, Lt Col Suneel Bartwal said that the army launched “Operation Bahadur” during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday after an attempt was made by infiltrators on the LoC in the Poonch sector area.
The operation was launched by the Indian army along with Jammu & Kashmir Police.

“In this Operation Bahadur, two infiltrators have been eliminated,” he said, adding that the search operations are in progress.
