Srinagar, March 12 —Jammu and Kashmir will continue to experience a wet spell until March 16, with intermittent light to moderate rain and snow expected at many places, according to the Meteorological Department.
Rainfall has been recorded over the past three days since March 10, and the prevailing weather conditions are expected to continue until March 16.
Director MeT, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, said intermittent rain and snow in higher reaches will continue until March 15, with light rain and snow at a few places on March 16, improving by the afternoon.
The weather is expected to remain generally dry from March 17 to 21.
Authorities have advised travelers, tourists, and transporters to follow traffic advisories, while farmers have been urged to suspend farm operations until March 16.
People have also been warned to avoid avalanche-prone areas, as landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones may occur at vulnerable locations.
