Ganderbal: A 63-year-old tourist from Maharashtra died of a heart attack while participating in a snow bike ride in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday, officials said.
An official identified the deceased as Manohar Motiram Rajani (63) from Solapur, Maharashtra.
According to officials, he was participating in a snow bike ride at Thajwas Glacier.
An official said that he lost consciousness during the ride, and despite immediate efforts to save him, he was declared dead upon arrival at the Primary Health Centre in Sonamarg.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
