Budgam, Sept 12: A 29-year-old man and his three-year-old son were killed, while his wife was critically injured after their motorcycle was hit by a car in the Soibugh area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday, officials said.
The deceased have been identified as Naseer Ahmad Mir, 29, son of Gh Hassan, a resident of Ghoom Ahmadpora, Magam, and his three-year-old son, Hadi.
Naseer was riding the motorcycle bearing registration number JK04G-3449, with his wife, Dilshada Akhter, 26, and their son travelling with him, when the accident occurred, an official said.
According to the official, the car was travelling from Budgam towards Soibugh when it collided with the motorcycle.
Naseer and his son sustained critical injuries in the accident and were later declared dead, while Dilshada was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Her condition was stated to be critical, while further details regarding her health were not immediately available.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
