Pulwama: Three people were arrested in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday, with contraband substances being recovered from their possession, according to the police.
In a statement, police said: One among three were arrested at a checkpoint in Washpora Murran, Pulwama.
“A drug peddler identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar, son of Gh Nabi Dar, a resident of Washpora Murran, was arrested at the checkpoint and two bottles of contraband substances were recovered from his possession,” reads the statement.
Following the disclosure made by Dar, the police raided multiple locations and arrested two more persons identified as Bilal Ahmad Mir, son of Gh Nabi Mir, and Liyaqat Nazir, son of Nazir Ahmad Lone, both residents of Murran, and 66 bottles of contraband substances containing codeine phosphate were seized, it reads.
