Rajouri: The School Education Department has attached the principal of Higher Secondary School (HSS) Behrote Thannamandi to the CEO's office due to poor student performance in the recently announced 12th standard results.
According to reports, the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) had instructed all divisional CEOs to submit class 12th result reports, with the CEO of Rajouri reporting a zero percent pass rate at HSS Behrote Thannamandi, where 13 students appeared for exams but none passed.
The directorate stated, "It has been observed that the Head of the Institute did not fulfill their academic responsibilities, which is viewed very seriously by the authorities."
"In light of this issue, the Principal of HSS Behrote Thannamandi, Rajouri, has been attached to the CEO's office in Poonch until further notice," it said.
However, lawyers have argued that teachers cannot be attached, suspended, or terminated solely due to students' poor performance.
