Kulgam, March 13 — One of
the three men who went missing nearly a month ago under mysterious circumstances has been found dead, officials said on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Riyaz Ahmad Bajad (25) of Chandian Pajan in Devsar. He was among the three men who went missing on February 13, and a missing report had been filed at Qazigund police station.
His body was recovered from Veshow Nallah in the Mah area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district, an official said.
Locals found the body near the veshow stream and immediately informed the police. “The body was shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities,” he said.
Police have launched a probe to ascertain the cause of death, while the search for the other two missing persons is ongoing.
