Budgam: A leopard was killed after it attacked and injured six people in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.
According to the reports, locals rushed to the scene after the attack and immediately took all the injured to a nearby hospital.
However, one of the injured, identified as Danish Ahmad Malik, had critical injuries and was referred to Srinagar’s SMHS Hospital for advanced treatment.
The other injured persons have been identified as Abdul Gaffar Rather, 70, son of Abdul Samad; Adil Shafi Mir, 25, son of Mohammad Shafi; Jahangir Ahmad Mir, 27, son of Mohammad Shafi; Waqar Rashid Dar, 21, son of Abdul Rashid; and Suhail Ahmad Magloo, 18, son of Bashir Ahmad. All are residents of Nasrullahpora, Budgam.
A wildlife official informed that the leopard was killed and has been removed from the scene.
