Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir LG administration has sacked four government employees including two police constables for their alleged involvement in anti-India activities.

In four separate orders, the administration ordered the termination of two constables, one from the Jal Shakti (water) department, and one teacher.

It was done under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India, which empowers the government to take such actions in the interest of national security without an inquiry.

It is pertinent to mention that since the Government of India abrogated the autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir, hundreds of government employees have been sacked under this provision.
