Kathua/Doda: As back-to-back militant attacks jolted Jammu and Chenab on Tuesday evening, police officials said that two militants were killed in Kathua, and six military troopers were injured in Doda’s Bhaderwah.
Reports also suggest that a CRPF personnel, identified as K. Das of the 121 Battalion, has succumbed to his injuries in Kathua, with officials maintaining that militants barged into residential houses, during which three civilians were injured.
Another militant was killed in the ongoing operation in the Hiranagar area of Kathua, taking the toll of killed militants to two, an official said.
The security forces are continuing the operation in the area, he said, adding, “It is primarily believed that another militant is in and around the encounter site.”
The fresh attacks came merely a day after militants targeted a bus in Reasi, killing nine people and injuring 41 others.
