Poonch, 21 February 2025— Amid ceasefire violations, India and Pakistan are holding a flag meeting today at the Chakan Da Bagh crossing point in Poonch district, officials said.
Senior military officers from both sides are participating in the discussions, which come after multiple incidents of firing, sniping, and explosions along the LoC in Rajouri, Poonch, and Jammu districts, according to officials.
"The focus will be on measures to de-escalate tensions along the LoC," a source mentioned.
In recent weeks, ceasefire violations have intensified. On February 14, an Indian trooper was injured in suspected sniper fire in the Keri area of Akhnoor sector.
On February 10, another military man sustained a bullet injury in Nowshera, Rajouri. A day later, an explosion near the LoC in Akhnoor killed two personnel, including an officer, and left another injured.
