Srinagar: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday claimed that the Indian military’s 50 RR regiment stormed inside a Mosque in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and Muslim worshipers were forced Muslims to chant “Jai Shri Ram” (hail lord ram) a hindutva slogan used by India’s right wing ideologues.
Mehbooba alleged that she was shocked to learn that personnel of 50 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army stormed inside a Mosque in Pulwama and forced Muslims inside to chant “Jai Shri Ram”.
The PDP chief added that the attack comes ahead of Amarnath Yatra terming it an “act of provocation”.
“Such a move when @AmitShah is here & that too ahead of yatra is simply an act of provocation,” she said in a tweet.
“Request @RgGhai to immediately set up a probe,” she added.
The Himalayan Post contacted DYSP office, Pulwama for comments, However, no calls were received.
