Chenab: Authorities have sounded an alert asking people to remain cautious after the water level of Chenab river reached at the danger mark following nightlong rainfall.
An official said that the water level of Chenab was at the danger mark level, recorded at 09:15 AM.
He added that at 08:15 AM, the water level in Chenab river was 32 feet which increased to 35 feet at 09:15 AM.
The official further informed that alert mark for water level in the river is 32 feet while 35 feet is danger mark, at which the river is flowing currently.
He said that due to nightlong rainfall in the Jammu region, all the tributaries of Chenab river got flooded.
Meanwhile, administration has issued helpline numbers for any assistance and also asked the people to stay cautious.
