Srinagar: Two militants including a Pakistani national were killed in an encounter (military operation) in Kandi area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
“Two militants of outfit LeT including one Pakistani militant have been killed,” J&K police said while quoting IGP Vijay Kumar.
The foreign (Pakistani) militant has been identified by police as Tufail.

However, the identity of another militant is ascertained.
In the early morning of Tuesday, a joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in Kandi.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
