Srinagar: Two civilians and an army man were injured on Monday in encounter (military operation) in Pandoshan area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
“During initial cordon & search operation, (militants) fired upon civilians and tried to escape, in which two civilians got injured. Both the injured shifted were airlifted to Srinagar hospital. One of them is critical,” police said in a tweet.
"One soldier also got injured," police informed.
Meanwhile, police said a brief encounter that raged earlier in the day at Heff- Shopian was called off.
