Ganderbal: A woman died and her son was injured in a road accident after a truck and their scooter (two-wheeler) collided in the Haripora area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday morning, according to officials.
The deceased woman has been identified as Aasha Begum, wife of Ghulam Mohammad Lone, a resident of Hakeem Gund, Ganderbal.
An official said that the accident occurred when the scooter collided head-on with the truck, resulting in the woman’s immediate death and injuries to her son.
The police have taken cognizance of the matter, he added.
