Three OGWs Arrested In Budgam’s Chadoora: Police

Srinagar: Three OGWs (Over ground workers) have been arrested in the Chadoora area central Kashmir’s Budgam district, Police said.

They have been identified as Ashiq Hussain Hajam, son of Ghulam Mohd Hajam, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, both residents of Zuhama Chadoora and Tahir Bin Ahmed son of Ghulam Ahmed Hajam resident of Badipora Chadoora.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested trio was involved in facilitating transportation of terrorists, arms/explosive materials & providing logistic support to the active terrorists of proscribed terror outfit LeT in district Budgam,” Police said in a statement to The Himalayan Post.

Incriminating material, arms & ammunition including 01 Chinese Pistol, 02 Pistol magazines,   22 Pistol rounds, 01 AK magazine, 30 AK rounds have been recovered from their possession, the statement reads.

“Besides, 01 motorcycle used in terror crimes has also been seized,” it said.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 114/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Chadoora and further investigation is in progress, the statement added.
