Pulwama: A father has been arrested by police for allegedly raping his two minors in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
Locals said that the father of the duo allegedly raped his daughters, aged 8 and 14 in the Chakoora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, reported The Kashmiriyat.
“Mother of the duo registered a complaint at the local Police station accusing her husband of raping her minor daughters after which Police immediately swung into action,” locals added.
The Police arrested the accused father and registered a case in this regard.
Locals thanked the Police and demanded strict action against the accused if he is proven guilty.
“As of now, we are verifying the allegations, the medical tests of the girls will prove if the allegations are true,” police said.
Last week Protests hit Dudran area of Boniyar in north Kashmir as locals demanded action against a man who allegedly raped his ‘minor’ daughter.
A day ago, a man was arrested for sodomising a minor boy in Budgam’s Khag area.
