Srinagar: Police along with security forces arrested four OGWs (Over Ground Workers) linked with JeM militant outfit, identified as Zubair Gul, Adil Fayaz Ganie, Basit Ali – all residents of Samboora and Shahid Nabi Pandith, a resident of Konibal Pampore.
Moreover, one LeT OGW have been arrested in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district identified as Faisal Ahmed Dar, a resident of Maldara Shopian.
"During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the arrested militant associates were in touch with JeM commanders and were involved in transportation of arms and ammunition. Besides, they were providing shelter and other logistic support to the active militant operating in Samboora and Pampore areas of Awantipora", Police said In a statement.
From his possession 10 rounds of pistol were also recovered and a FIR No 271/2021, U/S 7/25 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Baramulla in this regard, the officer added.
