Anantnag: A new-born baby was found dead in Sherbagh area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, officials said here.
An official said that the body of baby was found inside a water body in Sherbagh area.
“It seems someone dumped the baby’s body and threw into the water body,” he said.
The dead body was taken to a nearby health facility for medico-legal formalities, he added.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the matter.
