Srinagar: The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting light rains and snowfall at upper reaches of the Kashmir valley 0n November 09, 2023.
As per the Director of the Meteorological Department (MeT), Mr. Mukhat Ahmad, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry from November 07 to November 15. However, there is a possibility of light rains over the plains and light snow in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, including areas such as Razdan Pass, Sadhna Top, Sinthan Top, Zojila, and Mughal Road on November 09.
He added that the minimum temperature will drop during this time.
Moreover, the department has issued an advisory, urging farmers to suspend their agricultural operations, especially on November 09.
“Temporary disruptions in surface transportation over higher reaches due to slippery conditions are also expected,” he said.
“People are advised to plan their travel accordingly and take necessary precautions,” he added.
