Srinagar: J&K Police said it has arrested an active militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in south Kashmir ‘s Anantnag district on Sunday.
He has been identified as Shahid Thoker, son of Muhammad Iqbal Thoker, resident of Nossipora Keegam, Shopian.
Police also said incriminating materials and a pistol has been recovered from his possession.
As per police records, the arrested militant is a categorized militant as he had recently joined the militant folds of LeT, police said.
Accordingly, police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered.
