Leopard Killed After Injuring Six in Central Kashmir’s Budgam

Budgam: A leopard was killed after it attacked and injured six people in central Kashmirโ€™s Budgam district on Tuesday.

According to the reports, locals rushed to the scene after the attack and immediately took all the injured to a nearby hospital.

However, one of the injured, identified as Danish Ahmad Malik, had critical injuries and was referred to Srinagarโ€™s SMHS Hospital for advanced treatment.

The other injured persons have been identified as Abdul Gaffar Rather, 70, son of Abdul Samad; Adil Shafi Mir, 25, son of Mohammad Shafi; Jahangir Ahmad Mir, 27, son of Mohammad Shafi; Waqar Rashid Dar, 21, son of Abdul Rashid; and Suhail Ahmad Magloo, 18, son of Bashir Ahmad. All are residents of Nasrullahpora, Budgam.

A wildlife official informed that the leopard was killed and has been removed from the scene.
