‘Hybrid’ Held In North Kashmir’s Bandipora

Bandipora: A ‘hybrid’ militant of LeT (Lashkr-e-Toiba) was arrested along with arms and ammunition near Papchan area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday, police said.

The accused has been identified as Mehboob-ul-Inam, a resident of Nadihal Bandipora.

He was arrested at a checkpoint near Papchan today, Police stated.

“Police & SFs arrested a LeT hybrid terrorist, 3 AK-rifles, 10 Magazines, 380 rounds, 2KGs IED Exp substance, 01 Chinese grenade were recovered from his possession,” police added.

Hybrid’ militants is a newly coined term in the history of Kashmir militancy, which according to police are undercover Militants who carry out attacks like sleeper cells.
