Srinagar: HM commander Nisar Khanday have been killed in Anantnag encounter on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, police said.
"AnantnagEncounterUpdate: Terrorist Commander of proscribed terror outfit HM Nisar Khanday killed. Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 01 AK 47 rifle recovered. Operation in progress," police quoted IGP Vijay Kumar.
Earlier, three army men and a civilian was injured during the initial exchange of firing.
