Pulwama: Policeman was shot at by unknown gunmen in Bandzoo area of Pulwama district on Sunday
Police said suspected militants fired upon one policeman identified as Mushtaq gay son of Ghulam Wagay, a resident of Bandzoo Pulwama.
He said Mushtaq waa presently performing his duties in DPL (district Police Line) Pulwama as washerman and has received fire in his leg.
He added that residents rushed him to nearby district hospital Pulwama where he has been referred to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment.
He said that area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
SSP Pulwama Ghulam Jeelani confirmed the incident to KNO and said that the condition of a cop is stable.
