Jammu: Five persons were killed and 11 others were injured after their tempo (small bus vehicle) skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge along Jammu-Srinagar highway near Kela Morh area in J&K’s Ramban district on Thursday night.
Official sources said that the vehicle skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge.
“While five persons died on the spot, nine out of 11 injured persons are said to be critical," they said.
All the injured were shifted to hospital by rescuers comprising locals and police, they said.
Meanwhile, SHO Ramban Sandeep Charak said that five persons were killed and 11 others were injured in the accident.
“Five of the injured persons who are very critical have been shifted to Srinagar hospital and as many others to GMC Jammu,” he said.
One person is admitted to Ramban hospital,” he added.
