Srinagar: The accused who allegedly killed a man by attacking him with a sharp-edged weapon on Tuesday evening in the Dalgate area of Srinagar has been arrested, police said.
According to the police, it was a scuffle between two fruit vendors during which Hilal Ahmad Shera, son of Riyaz Shera, a resident of Tengpora, stabbed Bilal Guroo, a resident of Bemina, to death.
An official said that a man was attacked in the late evening hours of Tuesday at Dalgate Srinagar, leaving him critically wounded.
He added that a man identified as Bilal Ahmad Guroo, son of Nazir Ahmed Guroo, resident of Bemina Srinagar, received serious injuries and was shifted to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Officials further added that the accused person involved in the crime has been arrested, and police have taken up the investigation.
