Reasi: At least 53 people have been detained following the Reasi militant attack, which killed nine people, according to the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

A senior police officer said that 53 people were detained for questioning. "The detentions were made following an intensive investigation led by the police in the Kanda Barakh area, with significant leads being uncovered," he said.

Search operations have also been expanded to encompass the far-flung areas of Arnas and Mahore, he added.

These operations aim to uncover further evidence and apprehend militants who may be hiding in these remote regions.

It is pertinent to mention that after the Reasi attack, three back-to-back attacks were reported in Jammu’s Kathua and Doda’s Bhaderwah and Gandoh. Two foreign militants and one trooper were killed in Kathua. Five military personnel were injured in Bhaderwah, and no fresh updates have been received from Gandoh.
