NIA attaches 11.5 marlas of land in Budgam under UAPA

Property belongs to accused in custody; probe under Arms, Explosives laws continues

Srinagar, Apr 24 — The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday attached 11.5 marlas of land in Budgam belonging to an accused currently in its custody in a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Arms Act and Explosive Substances Act, officials said.

The property belongs to Tafazul Hussain Parimoo, son of Abdul Rashid Parimoo, a resident of Sheikh-ul-Alam Colony, Nowgam in Srinagar, an official said.

“The property comprises 11.5 marlas of land under Survey No. 25, situated at SK Bagh, Budgam,” the official said.

The attachment was carried out by an NIA team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Panchkach Agarwal in the presence of the Naib Tehsildar of B.K. Pora and other officials, he said.

Further investigation in the case is underway, officials added.
