Kulgam/Bandipora: A man died due to a cloudburst in the Damhal Hanjipora area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Thursday. Fresh reports have also emerged from north Kashmir’s Bandipora.
The deceased has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Chouhan, son of Mohammad Hussain Chouhan of Bangward Bala. The injured individual has been identified as Rafakat Ahmad Chouhan, also from Bangward Bala.
The cloudburst initially struck the Banward area in DH Pora, killing one and injuring another.
"One person died in the incident, while another suffered injuries. Police and civil administration are on the scene," an official said.
Another cloudburst has hit the Arin Dardpora area of Bandipora. However, there have been no reports of loss of life from this incident yet.
