Anantnag: Two army officers and a DSP of J&K police have been killed in an operation (encounter) in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish, deputy superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police Humayun Bhat.
As per police, they were critically injured in the gunfight and succumbed to injuries.
“Bhat died due to heavy blood loss.”
