Jammu: Back-to-back militant attacks jolted Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday evening, with militants opening fire in Jammu’s Kathua and on the Indian military’s Temporary Operating Base in Chenab Valley’s Doda.
The attacks came a day after nine people were killed in Jammu’s Reasi on Sunday.
While sources claim that three civilians were targeted in Kathua, police deny any such claims, stating, “Fake news is circulating that dead bodies of three civilians have been recovered and that some villages have been taken hostage. We urge the public to remain calm and not to believe or spread baseless rumors.”
Meanwhile, the police announced that a militant has been killed in Kathua and has issued his photograph.
