Srinagar, Sep 11: A 40-year-old man was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in an apple orchard in the Sedow area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday, officials said.
The injured man was identified as Sadiq Ahmad Thokar, son of Abdul Rahman, a resident of Sedow.
An official said Thokar was attacked by the bear while he was in an apple orchard in the area.

“He was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Shopian for treatment,” the official said.
Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident, officials added.
