Srinagar, Sep 3: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), in coordination with the Crime Branch, conducted searches at courier facilities across central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday, officials said.

The teams carried out searches at several courier facilities, including E-Falcon Logistics in Humhama, with sniffer dogs deployed during the operation.

A senior official said the searches were part of efforts to prevent courier services from being misused for transporting contraband.

“Such drives will continue in future to check misuse of courier services for smuggling of contraband,” the official said.

The searches come against the backdrop of a recent incident in which cocaine was recovered from a courier service in Ganderbal, according to officials.

Further details about the Budgam searches, including whether any contraband was recovered or anyone was detained, were not immediately available.
