Srinagar, Aug 31: A 60-year-old bus conductor died after he fell from a moving bus after an auto-rickshaw allegedly hit the vehicle in the Muniwar area of Srinagar, officials said on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Majeed Teli, son of Ghulam Mohammad Teli, a resident of Nawabazar, Srinagar.

According to an official, Teli was standing near the bus door when an auto-rickshaw suddenly hit the bus. The impact caused him to lose his balance and fall onto the road.

“He sustained serious head injuries in the incident,” the official said.

Teli was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries, the official said.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident, with further details awaited.
