Baramulla: 18 person including 16 students and two teachers have tested positive for Covid-19 at the Government Higher Secondary School Bijhama, Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla as a result the authorities ordered suspension of all sorts of activities in the school.
A concerned health official said from the last few days, the tests were carried out through the Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) and (real time reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction) RTPCR.
“Out of 100 individuals, 18 tested positive for Covid-19 including 16 students and 2 teachers,” the official said.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri Harvinder Singh said that they have decided to close the school for all sorts of activities.
“We also have also asked the concerned department to sanitize the school”, he added.
