Srinagar, March 7 — At least 1,332 people have been reported killed in US-Israeli attacks on Iran since the war began on February 28, as a fresh wave of intense bombing struck the Iranian capital early on Saturday.

The United States military said its forces have carried out extensive strikes across Iran since the start of the conflict.

The US military’s Central Command said it has struck more than 3,000 targets in Iran and destroyed 43 Iranian warships since February 28.

US President Donald Trump demanded an “unconditional surrender” from Iran, saying there would be no agreement without it.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran would refrain from targeting neighbouring countries unless attacks on Iran originate from their territory.

Iran has launched missiles and drones toward several countries hosting US forces or allied facilities, according to officials in the region.

Qatar said its air defence systems intercepted nine out of 10 Iranian drones launched toward the country on Friday, while Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates also reported incoming missiles and drones in their territories.

Saudi Arabia said it intercepted multiple drones near its capital, Riyadh.

Kuwait has begun cutting production at some oil fields after running out of storage capacity for crude supplies amid the conflict, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.

In Israel, Iran has continued firing drones and missiles at multiple locations, triggering explosions and air raid sirens in Tel Aviv, northern Israel and near Beersheba in the Negev desert.

Iranian military officials said the Strait of Hormuz remains open but warned that any US or Israeli ships attempting to pass through could be targeted.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister also warned European nations that they would become “legitimate targets” for Iranian retaliation if they join the United States and Israel in the war.

Separately, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and pledged military support to help defend Saudi Arabia if required.

The United Kingdom is expected to deploy additional Typhoon fighter jets to Qatar to assist with defensive air patrols, along with helicopters and a naval destroyer, according to officials.
