Bandipora, 04 November 2024: Police have charged a headmaster (teacher) at the Government Primary School in Koli Mohalla area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora for allegedly assaulting a male student, causing a serious eye injury.
According to officials, the incident occurred in the classroom when the headmaster hit the student near his eye with a stick.
The boy’s father, Reyaz Ahmed Lone, said the headmaster told his son to say the injury happened from a fall in the washroom.
Another parent, Murtaza Baba, expressed frustration, stating that the headmaster has a history of using physical punishment.
“We have received multiple complaints from our children,” he said.
Police officials informed that a case was filed under number 63/2024 at the BNS PS Pathkoot, citing sections 115(2) and 351(2) of the penal code.
