Pahalgam: A 24-year-old youth drowned to death in Lidder river near Laganbal bridge in south Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Monday.
An official identified the deceased as Basit Ahmad Bhat, 24, son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat and a resident of Sopore.
A rescue operation was launched immediately, and the body was retrieved, he added.
