The Russian-appointed deputy governor in Southern Ukraine’s Kherson city, Kirill Stremousov, has died in a ‘car crash’, near the town of Henichesk, Russian state media said on Wednesday.
The press service of the regional governor was quoted saying that he died in a car crash.
Mr Stremousov, 45, was appointed as the deputy governor of Kherson region, two months after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
He was one of the most prominent proponents of the Russian occupation and became known for aggressive statements on social media.
He was wanted for treason by the Ukrainian police.
