Anantnag:
A prisoner from Anchidora area who was lodged in Anantnag jail has died at GMC Anantnag after brief illness, an official said on Saturday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, son of Abdul Ahad Khan was booked under NDPS (Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances) Act in Kheribal jail since February has died this afternoon.
He said his health condition worsened on Saturday morning, following which the jail authorities took him to GMC Anantnag where doctors declared him brought dead.
Superintendent In-charge of Kheribal Jail, Sheroz Ahmad said that the deceased needed hospitalization this morning. However, he died on the way.
