Poonch: In response to the recent tragic events in the Pir Panchal area of Rajouri where five military personnel were killed in an ambush attack followed by the alleged custodial deaths of three civilians, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made his way to the Jammu region on Wednesday to evaluate the current scenario.
Joined by India’s military chief, Rajnath Singh commenced his visit with a morning arrival in Jammu, where both dignitaries were welcomed by Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha.
An official statement confirmed that shortly after touching down in the Jammu region, Singh, along with the Army chief, LG Sinha, and other key officials, departed for Pir Panchal’s Rajouri to conduct a thorough assessment of the existing situation.
